Live Gracefully

How to live gracefully till the end

 1.  Never say, “I am aged”:

There are three ages: chronological, biological, and psychological.
The first is calculated based on our date of birth, the second is determined by the health conditions, and the third is how old we feel we are.
While we don’t have control over the first, we can definitely have a positive effect on the second by taking care of our health; with good diet, exercise, and a cheerful attitude.  A positive attitude and optimistic thinking can reverse the third age.

2. Health is wealth:

Be healthy, wealthy, and wise.  Live a simple, active, and a productive life.
If you really love your family, then be an exemplary person.  Then you will not be a burden.

3. All that Glitters is not gold:

” Search for a beautiful heart and not a beautiful face.
Beautiful things are not always good.  But good things are always beautiful”

4. Relaxation:

The most relaxing and recreating forces are a healthy mind and healthy body.
Keep the faith and drop the fear.  Don’t believe your doubts and don’t doubt your beliefs.
Life is a mystery to solve, NOT a problem to resolve.
Life is wonderful if you only understand how to live.

5. Time is precious:

“You can spend your life any way you want, but you can only spend it once.”

” If you make good things happen, then good things will happens to you.”

6. Nothing is Permanent

” Like birds, let us leave behind what we don’t need to carry.  Grudges, Sadness, Pain, Fear, & Regrets are all heavy.
Fly light and life is beautiful.”

7. Enlightened selfishness:

All of us are basically selfish.  Whatever we do, we expect something in return.  We should definitely be grateful to those who stood by us or helped us in our time of need.  But, our focus should be on the internal satisfaction and the happiness we derive by doing good for others, without expecting anything in return.  Perform a random act of kindness daily.

8. Forget and forgive:

Don’t be bothered too much about others’ mistakes.  Forgiveness is a great virtue.  Let us forgive and forget.  “Have Mercy on those whom are on earth, and the one above the heavens shall have Mercy on you.”

9. Everything has a purpose:

Take life as it comes.  Accept yourself as you are and also accept others for who they are.  Everybody is unique and is right in his own way.  The purpose of life is to use our GOD given ability in service of humanity on daily basis; to make a better world for the next generation.

10. Overcome the fear of death:

We all know that one day we have to leave this world.  Yet we are afraid of death.  We think that our spouse and our children will be unable to withstand our loss.  But the truth is that no one is going to die for you; they may be depressed for some time. But then, time heals all wounds, and life goes on.
