Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a laxative; it cleanses the stomach, dries up ulcers and speeds their healing. It is also clearly beneficial for treating ulcers which occur in the testicles, private part and buttocks, if it is sprinkled on them.  It is beneficial in cases of swelling in the eye it opens up blockages in the liver, and takes away jaundice.  It is also beneficial in treating stomach ulcers if taken in powdered form.

Aloe Vera is very beneficial, especially the Indian type.  It cleanses excess bile in the brain and nerve.  If applied to the forehead with rose oil, it is beneficial in treating headaches, as well as ulcers in the nose and mouth.  The Persian type alerts the brain, comforts the heart and removes excess bile and phlegm from the stomach, if two spoons of it are drunk with water.

Aloe Vera is one of the most ancient plants which have been used for medicinal purposes.  It was used by the Greeks form the fourth century BCE.  It was also known to the ancient Yemenis and the Pharaohs, and it is mentioned in their medical prescriptions.  The Arabs brought it to Europe in the Middle Ages.

Both CRESS (Habb al Rashaad) & ALOE VERA are praised by Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam, they are the important herbs of Tibb-e-Nabwi, as per the following Hadith, Cress & Aloe Vera possess HEALING in general for all diseases.

What a cure do the two BITTER remedies carry, SIBR (Aloe Vera) & Thufa’a (cress, Habb al Rashad).

The Hadith indicates 2 facts :

  1. SIBR (Aloe Vera) & Thufa’a (cress, Habb al Rashad) have HEALING for all diseases, their SHIFA is not specified for an individual disease
  2. Both of these blessed herbs are BITTER in taste, some friends complained that Tibb-e-Nabwi blend has a strong bitter taste, but what I have understood from the above Hadith is that the bitterness of these herbs must has to touch the tongue & CURE will start from the tongue itself Insha’Allah.

Within 8-10 days, your tongue will become friendly to these herbs & then you will love them.

For sound sleep takes a spoon of Tibb-e-Nabwi blend. So don’t panic if the bitter taste disturbs you, train yourself as these herbs will be a permanent part of your diet for ever. Either today or tomorrow, you have to adopt Tibb-e-Nabwi, you will not have any alternatives sooner or later.

I usually purchase the dried extract of SIBR, but if you have enough space in your house, you can plant it easily & enjoy eating it fresh.

Cut a thick leaf of ALOE & trim the thorns / fork on sides of the leaf with a scissor. Now wash the leaf properly to remove dust. Carefully, peel off the skin (with a knife) in such a way that minimum amount of GEL comes out. Take out the soft GEL with a knife & make small portions, it is ready to eat RAW. You can also add the GEL in your blender with some water & honey & give it a pulse, a beautiful ALOE drink will be a healthy TONIC in your breakfast.

Old women in Indo-Pak rubbed this GEL on their face for preventing pimples & wrinkles, they also applied it on hairs (on the head) & they were black & shiny.

Also He PBUH said It makes the face bright, so do not use it except at night, and do not apply perfume when combing your hair, or henna because it is a dye. Narrated by Abu Dawood.  It makes the face look bright, so it makes it look fresh and radiant, proves that emodin had the effect of slowing down the growth of some skin tumors.

Fresh Aloe Vera juice may be applied to the skin that is affected by sunburn, and it will reduce pain and speed up healing.  In the cosmetics field it moisturises the skin and softens it, hence compounds of Aloe Vera glycoside are included in the cosmetics preparations and moisturisers, especially creams, soaps and shampoos.

Conclusion: In 1986 a professor at the University of New York published an important article about Aloe Vera. Google, find more on this subject.
